PCL and Yuwi Land and Sea Rangers are planting native tube stock along the newly profiled cane drain treatment chain which feeds into Janes Creek. The project, funded by Reef Catchments, will revegetate the banks of the drain providing habitat for wildlife, erosion control, and filtering the runoff from the cane paddocks before it enters the river system. A total of 420 plants were put in the ground along one bank, as stage 1 of the planting.
